Passionate Gamers, Professional Journalists

Founded in Melbourne in 2019, UltraRaid was born from a simple belief: Australian gamers deserve world-class coverage of the games they love and the competitive scenes they follow.

We are a team of dedicated gaming journalists, former competitive players, and passionate analysts who live and breathe the games we cover. Every review is written with hundreds of hours of play behind it. Every tournament report is filed from the venue floor.

Our editorial independence is our most prized asset. We accept no advertising that compromises our review scores, and we never publish sponsored content without clear disclosure.

2019

UltraRaid Founded

Launched as a blog from a Melbourne apartment. First review published: a 3,000-word breakdown of a major RTS release.

2020

First Tournament Coverage

Covered our first live esports event — the ANZ Regional Qualifier in Sydney. Reached 10,000 monthly readers.

2022

Editorial Team Formed

Expanded from a solo operation to a five-person editorial team. Launched the weekly newsletter with 20,000 subscribers.

2024
